They changed her meds again. Hooray! She is now taking Lamictal, a medication used to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. She's 2 weeks into it and so far it's being pretty good for her. I hope this means they may have found "the one" that works. *crosses fingers*

Hi,
I found this blog through Google alerts. Did you know Lamictal is an off label drug for PTSD?

I am glad things are going well for you. My daughter is still cutting. She now not only smokes weed, last week we found out she is snorting something called Ketamine (a cat setative). She is failing in school.
Steals from all of us, in fact last weekend she took (stole) my brother's car from my driveway while I was out. She is 15 and not licensed to drive here, as you have to be 16.

She is clearly out of control. I am sad, sad, and more sad. I don' t know who my daughter is anymore. She lies to us all the time, has very little respect or appreciation for the life that she has had. I am worn out.

I am in the process of getting her into a locked treatment facility where she could stay for up to 30 days. They only have 10 beds and there isn't one available at this time, I just have to wait

You just wonder where it all went wrong and where your child has gone. I am trying to be strong but I am slowly losing steam.

Please pray for me.

Thanks.

I will keep praying for you. I hope a bed opens up for her soon. Just hang in there and remember that as long as you love, there is hope. *hugs*
