My goodness, it's been a long time since I've blogged here. I suppose that's a good sign - she's making amazing progress ... we're making amazing progress. So much so that I've been able to overbook myself with projects (I'm involved in 2 plays right now - one as an actor, one as assistant vocal director). There are days I just want to bang my head against a wall & scream, "What on earth am I thinking?"
My daughter is now learning the lesson that you can't have a steady, serious boyfriend and date other guys at the same time. Nobody is happy with that arrangement. We tried to warn her, but ... well ... it's a lesson to be learned. And I think she's learning it ok. I think.
Today she is travelling with her school orchestra and symphony to the All-State competition. I'm sure they'll sweep it again this year. They are very good and always do very well in these competitions.
And, on top of everything else, she will be graduating high school in just 2 weeks. Wow! I still remember sitting in Wendy's and sobbing about my baby going into 1st grade and now she is preparing to graduate high school and move on to the University in the fall. And she is so tall and so beautiful and so smart and so talented. Just ... Wow.

I am so glad that things are going so well. I am glad that you are making such progress. Thank goodness for extra curricular activities like music that keep them busy and involved. My daughter is a saxaphone player recently went to Washington, DC. for her Gr. 9 trip. I was asked to chaperone and it was such fun.
I know how it feels to watch them grow up. My son had his high school prom tonight and seeing him in a tuxedo made me realize how grown up he really is. One of my son's friends, a girl, had many problems in her first year of high school and she was there tonight in her prom dress, with long gloves on, covering her many scars that she has from cutting. It made me see that although things are bad at times, they do come through it.
I hope that your daughter's graduation goes well. I share your feelings of "WOW".
